Tomotherapy is an investigational radiation therapy approach being studied for use in mesothelioma, brain neoplasms, and non-small-cell lung carcinoma. It is a form of image-guided intensity-modulated radiation therapy that delivers precise radiation doses to tumors while sparing surrounding healthy tissue. Tomotherapy is still in clinical development and is not yet approved by the FDA.
Tomotherapy is being developed by Avalon GloboCare Corp., a biopharmaceutical company traded on the stock exchange under the ticker ALBT. The company is conducting clinical trials to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Tomotherapy in various oncology indications, including brain tumors, lung cancer, and mesothelioma.
Tomotherapy is in Phase 1 clinical development. Clinical trials have been completed for brain neoplasms and non-small-cell lung carcinoma, with a Phase 2 trial also completed for mesothelioma. However, Tomotherapy remains investigational and has not received regulatory approval for any indication.
