CIRCULAR TO SHAREHOLDERS AND NOTICE OF GENERAL MEETING

Oxford, UK, 13 February 2014 - Summit (AIM: SUMM), a drug discovery and development company advancing therapies for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and C. difficile infections, announces that the Circular to Shareholders and Notice of General Meeting have been posted to shareholders following the announcement on 11 February 2014 of a proposed Placing to raise £21.0 million and Offer for Subscription to qualifying shareholders to raise up to £1.0 million.

The Circular to Shareholders contains further information about the proposed Placing and details about the Offer for Subscription.  The General Meeting is to be held at the offices of Fasken Martineau LLP, 17 Hanover Square, London, W1S 1HU at 10:00am on Friday, 28th February 2014. The Proxy Form and Offer Application Form have also been posted to shareholders.

The circular is now available to view on the Company's website (www.summitplc.com) and copies will also be available from the registered office of Summit, 85b Park Drive, Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 4RY.
