Full Press Release Details

Last year, our team had the privilege of meeting some truly remarkable dogs during HOPE AACR’s annual conference. These crisis support animals provide comfort, encouragement, and emotional care to people in their most difficult moments, and we at Volition Veterinary believe they deserve the same level of care in return.
That’s why we partnered with Hope AACR to offer free cancer screenings using the Nu.Q ® Vet Canine Cancer Test.
Hope AACR is a nonprofit organization dedicated to training, caring for and supporting canine crisis teams that go on to serve in critical emotional support roles.
During our visit, we screened 30 support canines, many of whom are actively working to help individuals affected by crises and disasters. Early detection is key: cancer is one of the leading causes of death in dogs, and identifying it sooner can significantly improve outcomes and quality of life.
The Nu.Q ® Vet test is designed to make that possible. It’s an easy-to-use blood test, offering veterinarians a practical tool to support earlier cancer detection, helping dogs live longer, healthier lives.
For pet parents, it’s a simple way to stay proactive about their dog’s health. For veterinary professionals, it’s an accessible addition to routine care. Because whether they’re supporting communities in crisis or simply being a beloved companion, every dog deserves the best chance at a long, healthy life.
