The Waterford at Plymouth had the privilege of granting a heartfelt Tree of Dreams to one of our cherished residents, Lee, and his devoted wife Lily in honor of their remarkable 70th wedding anniversary.
Hailing from Plymouth, Lee and Lily embody the enduring spirit of love and partnership. Before retiring, Lee worked as a dedicated truck driver and his warm personality and active involvement in our community have made a lasting impression.
Although Lily is not a resident, she is a familiar and positive presence in the community visiting almost daily. Lily’s frequent visits bring energy and warmth to every interaction, making her a cherished part of our daily activities. Their anniversary celebration was a touching reminder of their strong bond and they expressed heartfelt gratitude for the thoughtful gesture. They felt truly blessed to have their love story honored in such a meaningful way.
The team went above and beyond to create a memorable anniversary celebration for Lee and Lily. Their Tree of Dreams wish was simple yet profoundly meaningful: to share a special meal together in celebration of seven decades of love.
The team thoughtfully served a private lunch featuring their favorite dishes from Antoinette’s, a beloved local restaurant where they enjoyed hearty lasagna, fresh salad and warm breadsticks. The meal was capped with a stunning white cake adorned with buttercream frosting making the occasion feel like a true celebration of their incredible milestone. Their son Rick joined them to share in the joy bringing three generations of love and family together for this unforgettable day.
