Robb and Francy, residents of The Waterford at Carpenter’s Creek , were married in April but unfortunately didn’t have the chance to enjoy a honeymoon. To make their Tree of Dream come true, the community stepped in with a thoughtful gesture. They arranged for a romantic night at a local hotel, complete with a champagne toast and delicious chocolate-covered strawberries to celebrate the occasion. It was the perfect way to make up for the honeymoon they had missed.
While Robb and Francy were out enjoying their special night, the team worked their magic back at the apartment, giving it a complete makeover with fresh paint and new flooring. It was a surprise in more ways than one! Francy was especially thrilled, sharing that she hadn’t had the chance to take a bath in a tub for eight years. She absolutely loved the honeymoon suite, which featured a large, luxurious bathtub. It was a much-needed indulgence, and she savored every moment.

A heartfelt gift
North Pointe ’s Dietary Manager, Sheblea, brought a special holiday surprise to the community with her handmade elf dolls! She meticulously crafted a doll for each resident and team member, carefully matching their appearance and stitching their names on the shirts. Each elf was unique and personalized, reflecting Sheblea’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail. The residents and staff were thrilled by this unexpected gesture, and the dolls quickly became treasured keepsakes.
The community was touched by Sheblea’s kindness, as the dolls not only brought joy but also reminded everyone of the spirit of giving. It was clear that Sheblea had put her heart into each creation, making it a truly meaningful gift. The residents were especially delighted, with many of them sharing how much the dolls brightened their day. It was a beautiful act of love and care, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.

Storybook magic
Anna, a resident of The Heritage at The Plains, has always had a deep love for children and dreamed of hosting a storybook reading for her Tree of Dreams. She envisioned bringing joy and excitement to the little ones through a fun and engaging storytelling session. The community team jumped into action to make this dream come true, working alongside the local library to provide the perfect setup for Anna’s special event. Anna chose five snowman-themed stories, which brought a festive touch to the reading and delighted the children who gathered to listen.
The event turned out to be even more special than expected when Anna’s daughter surprised her by joining the story time. It was a heartwarming moment that added to the magic of the day. Anna was overjoyed to see her daughter take part in the occasion, making it a family memory they would cherish forever. Sierra, the Activities Director, summed it up perfectly, saying, “This truly was a magical dream come true.” It was a wonderful example of how the community’s support and love can turn a simple wish into a heartwarming reality. Great job to Anna and the community team for creating such a memorable and joyful experience!
