SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 08, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Myriad Genetics, Inc. (NASDAQ: MYGN) (the “Company” or “Myriad Genetics”), a leader in genetic testing and precision medicine, today announced that it plans to make a public offering of $100.0 million of shares of its common stock, par value $0.01 per share (“common stock”), in an underwritten registered public offering. The Company also expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to $15.0 million of additional shares of its common stock. The offering is subject to market and other conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed or as to the final size or terms of the offering. All of the shares in the proposed offering are to be sold by the Company.
The Company intends to use approximately $40.0 million of the net proceeds from the offering to repay all outstanding loans under its asset-based revolving credit facility (and accrued and unpaid interest thereon), without any reduction in commitment, $57.5 million of the net proceeds from the offering to pay the remaining portion of the settlement amount due under the stipulation and agreement of settlement to resolve the class action captioned In re Myriad Genetics, Inc. Securities Litigation, and the remainder of the net proceeds for working capital and general corporate purposes.
