When using the Wand STA for IA Block, Infiltration, AMSA or P-ASA injections, the handpiece is your (and your patients) very best friend! The Bi-Rotational Insertion Technique (street name: “BRIT”) allows you to roll the handpiece between your fingers as you insert the needle into the tissue. This creates a seamless cutting tool on both sides of the needle as the bevel goes to work, and offers a very different experience to a traditional dental syringe inspired injection. All resulting in greater patient comfort every time, more accurate deposition of your anesthetic (think less missed Block injections)… And much happier, more smiley patients!
Did You Know?
We have (3) different size needles to meet your various injection needs and preferences – all medical-grade, hypodermic needles that are bonded to the Wand handpiece:
Green: ½ “ 30g needle – recommended for pressurized injections (Single-Tooth Anesthesia, AMSA, P-ASA and Crestal Injections)
Brown: 1” 30g needle – recommended for infiltration injections (and sometimes used for a Pedo block injection)
Blue: 1¼” 27g needle – recommended for IA Block injections on an adult
