As calf raisers across the country strive to run efficient and productive operations, they often have similar challenges despite differences in their business models. Sarah Eck, Sales and Marketing Manager for our Midwest Region, has probably witnessed most of those challenges. So, she not only wrote an article about her experiences, but she also suggested solutions.
One issue she sees a lot is dairy employee inconsistencies with feeding, treatments, hygiene and other calf chores. Over-treating calves is another, which is no wonder since calf raisers want to provide as much support to their calves as possible. The third challenge on her list is housing.
