HCSG’s Dining Team Caters for New Client’s Annual Fundraiser

Earlier this year, Healthcare Services Group’s (HCSG) Dining team had the pleasure of providing the catering service for the Roosevelt Georgia Hall Society’s Southern Charm Ball at Roosevelt Warm Springs (RWS) Vocational Rehab in Meriwether County, Georgia. The event serves as an annual fundraiser to help fund the resources needed to help RWS students succeed. The ball featured entertainment, a live and silent auction, and delicious food.

Established in 1927 by Franklin Delano Roosevelt to treat polio patients, Roosevelt Warm Springs remains dedicated to serving Georgians with disabilities. The academy offers students opportunities to develop skills and independence, with options including employment planning, on-campus career education, or furthering collegiate studies.

A month before the event, Roosevelt Warm Springs welcomed HCSG as their new dining services partner. Just as they began to wrap up service to the RWS community, the Southern Charm Ball committee selected HCSG as their preferred caterer. “We selected them because of their variety of foods and the value they provided. We also wanted to support them because they were the new dining partner at the facility,” said Anna Knight, Event Coordinator at Del’avant Event Center. Recognizing the potential to showcase their culinary expertise, HCSG eagerly began preparing for the event.

When logistics were finalized, the dining team embarked on crafting a menu that would delight the senses. From cocktail hour to a strolling dinner featuring six unique food stations, each dish was thoughtfully designed to highlight Southern flavors, promising a memorable experience for all attendees.

HCSG Executive Chef Shawn McGregor expressed his pride and gratitude to the twenty HCSG dining team members who worked tirelessly to cater this event: “I am proud of how well our team executed for our new partner with limited time and preparation. The dedication and collaboration of all team members, from dietary aides and cooks to executive chefs and managers, was one of the driving forces behind the event’s success. Their collective efforts made the event run smoothly and one everyone will remember. Event Coordinator Anna Knight expressed her satisfaction with HCSG, “We were blown away by how delicious the food was. The staff was extremely professional, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice.” The delicious meals were also noticed by event attendees, “I heard nothing but wonderful reviews from all of the guests at the event,” continued Anna, “I highly recommend HCSG to anyone who needs a caterer for an event.”

After executing a successful catered event, the team was encouraged to provide that same quality and dedication to the everyday service to the residents, staff, and guests at RWS. Many of the more than 150 participants were wowed by the food presentations, including an ice sculpture, show cookery and many of the displays by the chefs and staff.
