The new facility unites Winyah Pharmacy and Preferred Care—two long-time Guardian partner pharmacies—under the new name Guardian Pharmacy of South Carolina.
The new state-of-the-art pharmacy nearly doubles the combined space of the previous Georgetown and Hollywood locations, bringing all staff and services under one roof. Designed specifically for long-term care, the facility features robotic dispensing technology, an in-house IV infusion therapy suite, and dedicated training areas for pharmacy and community staff.
“Our previous locations served us well, but with the pace of our growth, we needed a larger space to house all of our employees – with a layout, technology and amenities designed to strengthen our operations and help us continue delivering the LTC pharmacy services our customers count on,” said David Whitlock, president of Guardian Pharmacy of South Carolina.
All team members from the previous locations have joined the new headquarters, and additional hiring is expected as the pharmacy continues to grow its presence across assisted living, skilled nursing, behavioral health, and IDD communities throughout South Carolina.
