FRANKLIN, Tenn. (May 21, 2024) Community Health Systems, Inc. (the Company ) (NYSE: CYH) today announced that its wholly owned
subsidiary, CHS/Community Health Systems, Inc. (the Issuer ), intends to offer an additional $1,125.0 million aggregate principal amount of the Issuer s outstanding 10.875% Senior Secured Notes due 2032 (the Tack-On Notes ), subject to market and other conditions (the Notes Offering ).
to use the net proceeds of the Notes Offering to redeem all of its outstanding 8.000% Senior Secured Notes due 2026 (the 2026 Notes ), to pay related fees and expenses and for general corporate purposes, which may include the repayment of
a portion of outstanding indebtedness. This press release shall not constitute a notice of redemption for the 2026 Notes.
