Shipments of laboratory equipment and other mosquito abatement materials to overseas USAF base represent first international expansion of Vector Smart product line
SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Co-Diagnostics, Inc. (Nasdaq: CODX) ("Co-Dx" or "the Company"), a molecular diagnostics company with a unique, patented platform for the development of molecular diagnostic tests, today announced the first international deployment of its Vector Smart ® mosquito surveillance platform, to include shipments of laboratory equipment, consumables, and other mosquito abatement reagents and materials to an overseas United States Air Force ("USAF") base.
"Vector Smart continues to demonstrate the versatility of our molecular diagnostics technology and the growing demand for decentralized surveillance solutions," said Dwight Egan, Chief Executive Officer of Co-Diagnostics. "We saw a significant unmet need for rapid, local mosquito surveillance that can provide public health officials with timely, actionable information, so we built a platform to address it. As we continue expanding into additional government, military and public health markets, we believe Vector Smart is well positioned to become an increasingly important contributor to our long-term commercialization strategy while further validating the breadth of Co-Dx technology."
This deployment follows continued domestic expansion of the Company's Vector Smart business, which has served 40 customers across 21 U.S. states, and represents the first international expansion of the product line. Co-Dx Vector Smart products include multiplex PCR assays for mosquito surveillance designed to detect pathogens associated with diseases like West Nile virus, Eastern and Western equine encephalitis, St. Louis encephalitis, Zika, dengue and chikungunya. The assays are designed and optimized to help abatement districts improve situational awareness and make their abatement efforts more efficient and effective.
