NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA, April 28, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ArriVent
BioPharma, Inc. (Company or ArriVent) (Nasdaq: AVBP), a clinical-stage company dedicated to accelerating the global development of
innovative biopharmaceutical therapeutics, today announced the appointment of Merdad Parsey, M.D., Ph.D. to its Board of Directors. Dr. Parsey
brings decades of executive experience leading global clinical development in the biopharmaceutical industry, most recently serving as
Chief Medical Officer and Executive Vice President of Gilead Sciences, Inc.

Executive Officer of 3-V Biosciences, Inc., now Sagimet Biosciences, Inc., and has served on the Board of Directors since 2010.
Earlier in his career he held development roles at Sepracor, Inc., Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Merck, Inc.
and served as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director of Critical Care Medicine at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Parsey
completed his M.D. and Ph.D. in immunology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, his residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford
University and his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado.
