Sustained remission at Week 52 is defined as a participant meeting all of the following: ● achieved remission at Week 12 AND all of the following, sustained from Week 12 to Week 52: * no recurrence of signs or symptoms, attributable to PMR, that requires escape treatment or rescue treatment * no new diagnosis of Giant cell arteritis (GCA), that requires escape treatment or rescue treatment Remission at Week 12 is defined as a participant meeting all of the following at Week 12: * no use of escape treatment or rescue treatment prior to Week 12 * no signs or symptoms attributable to PMR, that requires escape treatment or use of rescue treatment, at Week 12 * no new diagnosis of GCA, that requires escape treatment or rescue treatment, at Week 12

Change From Baseline in the Western Ontario Rotator Cuff (WORC) Patient Reported Outcome (PRO) Percentage Score at Week 24
Baseline, Week 24

The WORC Index consisted of 21 items divided into 5 Domains: Physical Symptoms (6 items), Sport/Recreation (4 items), Work Function (4 items), Lifestyle Function (4 items) and Emotional Function (3 items). Each of the 21 items in the WORC was rated using a visual analogue scale (VAS) ranging from 0 (no impact on quality of life) to 100 (worst possible impact). Thus, the total score ranged from 0 to 2100 points. The score was reported as a percentage of normal by subtracting the total score from 2100, dividing by 2100, and multiplying by 100. Total final WORC percentage scores ranged from 0%, the lowest functional status level, to 100%, the highest functional status level. Change from baseline in the WORC percentage total score was assessed at Week 24. A positive change from baseline indicated an improvement.

Time from baseline to first Giant cell arteritis (GCA) clinical relapse
Time from baseline to first GCA clinical relapse, assessed at least up to Week 24

In this study, ASAS 20 is used to assess quantitatively the sustainability of clinical benefits of two dosage regimens of secukinumab over the treatment period from Week 104 to Week 260 No Statistical Analysis was performed This was the total for Group 1 Participants that up-titrated are counted only at the originally randomized treatment group.

Percentage of Secukinumab 300 mg Participants Achieving PASI 75 at 16 Weeks
16 weeks

PASI is a combined assessment of lesion severity and affected area into a single score: 0 (no disease) to 72 (maximal disease). Body is divided into 4 areas for scoring (head, arms, trunk, legs); each area is scored by itself and scores are combined for final PASI. For each area, percent of skin involved is estimated: 0 (0%) to 6 (90-100%), and severity is estimated by clinical signs, erythema, induration and desquamation; scale 0 (none) to 4 (maximum). Final PASI = sum of severity parameters for each area\* area score weight of section (head: 0.1, arms: 0.2 body: 0.3 legs: 0.4). PASI 75 is defined as participants achieving ≥ 75% improvement from baseline.

Treatment success was defined as "Minimally improved", "Much improved" or "Very much improved" in Clinical global impression (CGI). Non-responder imputation assigns a value of nonresponse to missing data points, any patient who drops out is assumed to be a non-responder.

Percentage Change From Baseline in Nail Psoriasis Severity Index (NAPSI) After 16 Weeks of Treatment
Baseline, 16 weeks

The NAPSI is a tool to assess psoriatic nail involvement in patients with nail psoriasis. Each nail is divided with imaginary horizontal and longitudinal lines into quadrants. Each nail is given a score for nail matrix psoriasis (0-4) and nail bed psoriasis (0-4) depending on the presence of any of the features of nail psoriasis in that quadrant. Each nail gets a nail matrix score and a nail bed score, the total of which is the NAPSI score for that nail ranging from 0 to 8. All 10 fingernails are assessed giving a total NAPSI score ranging from 0 to 80. A negative change from baseline indicates improvement. The adjusted mean is presented.

Week 16

palmoplantar Investigator's Global Assessment (ppIGA) response after 16 weeks of treatment. To be considered a ppIGA responder at Week 16, a subject must have ppIGA of 0 or 1 at Week 16 and a reduction of at least 2 points on the ppIGA scale from baseline.

Number of Participants Achieving American College of Rheumatology 20 (ACR20) Response Criteria
Week 24

ACR20 response was defined as having a positive clinical response to treatment (individual improvement) in disease activity if the participant had at least 20% improvement in tender 68-joint count, swollen 66-joint count and at least 3 of the following 5 measures: patient's assessment of RA pain, patient's global assessment of disease activity, physician's global assessment of disease activity, subject self-assessed disability (Health Assessment Questionnaire \[HAQ-DI\] score), and/or acute phase reactant (high sensitivity c-reactive protein (hsCRP) or erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR). For subjects with early escape at Week 16 or had missing values at Week 24 or discontinued prior to Week 24, their ACR20 was set to nonresponse at Week 24. This applied for all treatment regimens in order to minimize bias. The Placebo arm was analyzed as one group, irrespective of the re-randomization, as assessments made under the re-randomized active treatment were not included in this analysis.

Percentage of Participants Achieving ASAS 20 (SpondyloArthritis International Society Criteria) Response at Week 16
Baseline up to 16 weeks

ASAS 20 response is a validated composite assessment reflecting the percentage of treated patients who achieve within a defined timeframe an improvement of 20% and ≥1 unit on a scale of 1 to 10 in at least three of the four ASAS main domains and no worsening of ≥20% and ≥1 unit in the remaining domain. ASAS 20 is used to assess the efficacy of at least one dose of secukinumab against placebo.

Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) 75 Response and Investigators' Global Assessment (IGA) Mod 2011 0 or 1 Response
12 weeks

Efficacy of secukinumab compared to placebo in subjects with moderate to severe chronic plaque-type psoriasis. PASI score was based on assessment of the head, trunk, upper limbs and lower limbs for erythema, thickening (plaque elevation, induration), and scaling (desquamation). PASI scores can range from 0, corresponding to no signs of psoriasis, up to a theoretical maximum of 72.0. PASI-based secondary variables included absolute PASI score, response rates for PASI 75. PASI 50 and PASI 90 were defined as ≥ 50% and ≥ 90% improvement from Baseline in PASI score, respectively, while PASI 100 response corresponded to complete clearing of psoriasis (PASI = 0). IGA mod 2011 was used to evaluate the overall severity of psoriatic disease, with scores ranging from 0 (clear) to 4 (severe). Treatment success was defined as achievement of IGA mod 2011 0 or 1 score.

Percent of Participants With Loss of Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) 75 Response up to Week 68
At week 68 (16 weeks after week 52)

The primary variable was the cumulative rate of patients who lost PASI 75 response up to Week 68 (time=0 being defined as Week 52). Loss of PASI 75 response was analyzed by means of a survival analysis defining "loss of PASI 75 response" as "failure". The term cumulative rate corresponded to 1 minus the survival function within this survival analysis, and the cumulative rate and the survival functions were dependent on time t. PASI 75 response: patients achieving ≥ 75% improvement (reduction) in PASI score compared to baseline of the core study were defined as PASI 75 responders.

Percentage of Participants in Sustained Remission Until Week 28
Until week 28

Remission was defined as the absence of flare. Sustained remission was defined as the absence of flare until Week 28 and in adherence to the protocol prednisolone taper regimen. Flare was determined by the investigator and was defined as the recurrence after remission of signs or symptoms of Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) and/or erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) greater than or equal to (\>/=) 30 millimeters per hour (mm/hr) and/or C-reactive Protein (CRP) (\>/=10.0 mg/L) attributable to GCA. Patients were classified as non-responders if they did not achieve remission within 12 weeks of Baseline (remission referred to the absence of flare), were in the "escape arm" (this referred to patients entering escape between Baseline and Week 28), prematurely discontinued study treatment prior to Week 28 (absence of flare was checked prior to study treatment administration), did not have information to evaluate sustained remission response until Week 28.

Change From Baseline in Disease Activity Score 28 (DAS28) in Association With the Presence or Absence of HLA-DRB1 04
baseline, 12 weeks

The DAS28 is a measure of disease activity in RA. The score is calculated by a complex mathematical formula, which includes the tender joint count(TJC) and swollen joint count (SJC) out of a total of 28 joints, the high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP), and the subject's 'global assessment' of disease activity/general health (GH). The subject's global assessment/GH was indicated by a visual analogue scale of 100 mm where the participant marked a point on a 100 mm line between 0 and 100 (0 indicated very good and 100 indicated very bad). The following formula was used to calculate DAS28: DAS-CRP = 0.56\*sqrt(TJC28) + 0.28\*sqrt(SJC28) = 0.36\*ln(CRP+1) + 0.014\*GH = 0.96. A DAS28-CRP score \> 5.1 implies active disease, \<3.2 implies controlled disease and \<2.6 implied remission. A negative change from baseline indicates improvement.
